Native Voices exhibition at Reed Library

Reed Library has been selected to host "Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness," a traveling exhibition created by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), from October 9, 2019 to January 15, 2020. The interactive exhibition examines concepts of health and medicine among contemporary American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawai’ians and features interviews with more than one hundred tribal leaders, healers, physicians, educators, and others. A public opening begins at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at John F. Reed Library, showcasing Fort Lewis College’s Registered Student Organizations, students, faculty and staff from academic as well as health and wellness departments, and songs by a student-led drum group. The opening and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
