General Description
John F. Reed Library is a state publications depository. We receive many Colorado government publications. Colorado’s government publications address a wide range of topics that are pertinent to many academic disciplines. Publications are updated frequently and we hold each document we receive for a minimum of five years. You can search for state publications using the Talon Library Catalog. They are available for check out to Reed Library patrons. Publications are separated into the following three categories that determine where they are located.


Accessing State Publications
All publications that are held at Reed Library are cataloged in the Talon Library Catalog. You can search for publications in Reed Library using a keyword search and limiting the material type to ‘State Doc’. This will give you the State Publication Number. Look in the appropriate section of the State Publications to find the document.

Location of State Publications in the Library
The publications are located in the State Publications Collection adjacent to the stairs on the main floor of the library. The bound publications are located on the shelves. The newsletters and other publications are located in the black filing cabinet adjacent to the bound publications..

Assistance
Please ask the reference librarian or call the Reference Desk at 247-7551 for help in locating a specific publication or to determine if the library has the publication you are looking for.
