Finding a Video ...
and other audiovisual materials and formats
Videos and other non-book formats can be found easily in the catalog:
- Search as you would for a book in the Library Catalog. Doing a WORD search for a subject is the most common approach.
- Then, use the LIMIT button on the catalog screen result/ browse list.
- Select the DROP-DOWN MENU for MATERIAL type.
- Select Videorecording, or any other option such as Score/Print Mus, Spoken Recording, etc.
You can also combine the word "videorecording" with other words in a Word search to bring up videos.
If you are unable to find what you need in our collection, don't despair. Stay within the catalog and select the Prospector button on the search results/ browse screen. This will search many libraries in Colorado. You can also request the item from Prospector, but many libraries do not loan videos except locally.
For more assistance see the Guide to the Library On-line Catalog and/ or ask at the Reference Desk.
