Reserves
Faculty Information

Reed Library offers faculty the opportunity to place various types of materials on reserve for student use.  Faculty owned materials as well as items available at Reed Library may be placed on “physical reserve” for pick up at the Library Circulation Desk.  Photocopies of printed materials may be made available online by placing them on “electronic reserve” i.e. “e-reserve”.  It is important to note, however, that photocopied items must comply with copyright law.  The John F. Reed Library Copyright Policy is available online.

NOTE: It is Reed Library's policy that all material which has been reproduced (i.e. photocopied or scanned) will automatically be placed on Electronic Reserve. Each reproduced item must be submitted with its own e-reserve citation form.

Reserve materials must be submitted with properly completed forms -

Course Reserves form (traditional reserve items):  For books, media and other tangible materitals. List all materials to be placed on physical reserve on this form.

Course E-Reserves form (photocopied items):  For materials being placed on Electronic Reserve. A Course E-reserves Form must be filled out for each item.
